Designing with Spring's Dreamiest Colors

Every place has its own iconic first signs of spring. In Amsterdam, the famous tulip fields are in full bloom from March to May. Cherry blossoms begin blooming in Japan (not to mention many spots around the US!) and ranunculus season in Southern California has already begun.

You may already know the influence botanicals have on our clothing designs—it inspired our tagline “fashion from the ground up”—even. Growing up in a family of florists, floriculture is part of my everyday life. The colors and textures found in flowers and greenery influence my designs in every season, but spring is the most exciting time to design with nature in mind.

Our spring collection is inspired by all those early blooms that mark the changing of the season. Ranging from hues as soft as blush cherry blossoms like in the Rowling Jacket or Jane silk blouse to vibrant colorways you’d see among the tulips such as the Virginia t-shirt dress’ Raspberry shade, our second collection is a testament to nature’s beauty this time of year.
