Transitional Wardrobe: Summer to Fall

Happy September! While it may be awhile until it really feels like fall, one thing we love about the changing of the seasons is getting to incorporate (or stock up on!) favorite pieces that have been stowed away for months.

While we await the arrival of our own fall collection (in stock October 1st!), we’re dreaming up ways to get a few more wears out of our colorful spring and summer pieces! Keep reading for four ways to mix summer and fall for a transitional wardrobe that complements those soon-to-be changing leaves!

summer to fall transition

Look 1: Cashmere Recycled Reversible Top / Didion Culottes / Beige Mule / Look 2: Amanda Beige Short Dress / Goldy Tall Boot / Rowling Jacket / Look 3: Cairo Blouse / Coral Paloma Wool Pants / Look 4: 525 Wide Sleeve Turtleneck / Agatha Pencil Skirt / Feliz Ankle Boot

Look 1 (Top Left) Pair a long-sleeve crop top with your Didion culottes. This recycled cashmere wrap top from  Fanfare Label is substantial enough to keep you warm once the temps drop a few degrees, but not so heavy that you’ll feel you jumped the gun on fall fashion! Our Didion culottes are made of a breathable cotton twill for easy wear no matter the season. Our favorite thing about this look? The monochromatic color palette that allows Didion’s orange-y coral to really pop!

Look 2 (Top Right) Keep warm with light layering. Mini dresses and tall boots are an early-fall staple, and the earth-toned hues in our Rowling denim jacket are the perfect complement. Rowling is embellished with hand-mirror work by our artisan partners and spectacular embroidery in patterns inspired by traditional textiles. It’s truly such a statement piece that it elevates everything you pair it with! We love the idea of draping this open jacket over a ruffle, bow-tie dress, keeping everything light—but layered.

Look 3 (Bottom Left) Incorporate your boldest hues. You know those colorful pants you flaunted until it got too hot to do so? Don’t store them away just yet! You can keep your outfit vibrant but seasonally appropriate by pairing them with one of your favorite fall tops, like our forthcoming Cairo blouse. The 100% silk material makes it light and breezy!

Look 4 (Bottom Right) Re-think your spring/summer statement pieces. Our Agatha skirt is one of our favorites from SS20. It’s the most intricate striped skirt you’ll ever see—mirrored columns reflect the alternating embroidered patterns hemmed with even more multicolored rows of thread. Why put it away until next spring? Pair your midi- and mini-skirts with bright chunky sweaters (and tights, if you’re still chilly!) to balance the spring palette with cool-weather textures.
